An UAE resident owns the world's smallest Quran measuring just 5.1cm in length and 8cm in width. It comprises 550 pages and is estimated to be about 400 years old.

Muhannad Ameel Issa, a Christian, who inherited the holy text from his ancestors, said it was found near Al Quds (Jerusalem), reported 'Al Jazeera' newspaper.

Ameel brought the copy with him to the UAE in 1989.
