5 Myths About Shaving With A Razor That People Still Believe.

It’s been proven that women’s favorite method of hair removal is waxing. However, as the technology of razors improves, they’re becoming a more and more popular choice. Speaking of razors, here we leave you with some advice and some false myths about shaving with them.
1. Shaving every day DOESN’T make the hair grow back thicker or darker.
This is the most common myth, but don’t worry, because it’s not true. The thickness and color of the hair is predetermined by our genes and hormones. When we shave off the end of the hair and it begins to grow back, it gives the sensation that it is thicker, but it isn’t.
2. Pressing the razor down harder gives a better end result.
You are more likely to cause damage and cut yourself. Just keep the head of the razor parallel to the skin and let it do the work. Using a special shaving gel or cream, or even soap, can help the razor slide more easily. Use a smooth, gentle motion to avoid any irritation.
3. Shaving WON’T remove your tan
Actually, shaving tanned skin helps to eliminate the dead, scaly skin cells, revealing a shiny new layer. It’s like performing an exfoliation. What does happen is that the skin becomes more exposed, requiring a good sunscreen.
4. Shaving daily isn’t bad for the skin.
Some women have very thick hair and shave daily for that reason. Don’t worry if you’re one of them. Just keep your skin hydrated with a good moisturizer because it could become dry.
5. Don’t shave with your partner’s razor.
It isn’t hygienic. Besides, men’s razors are designed to cover less area, so you’ll only be wearing it down. Women’s razors are specifically designed for your body’s curves.
