Perak is Ranked No. 9 in Lonely Planet's Best Top 10 Regions To Travel To in 2017



After Ipoh made it to Lonely Planet's list of Top 10 best Asian destinations, Perak is now listed as the ninth best region to travel to for year 2017.

The state is known for its quiet and artsy capital - Ipoh, with its flourishing café scene and delicious food. Visitors can also take to the Old Town to relive Ipoh's colonial past. There are also interesting murals by Lithuanian artist, Ernest Zacharevic, for tourists to pose with.

Lonely Planet recommends travellers to check out the Royal Belum State Park, Kinta Nature Park, and Gua Tempurung for outdoor activities. Sam Poh Tong cave and Perak Tong will interest travellers who are into culture and architecture. History can also be found at the ruins of Kellie's Castle.
