Thengai Paal Appam(Coconut Milk Appam)

Who does not love making or eating thengai paal appam. Here you go an easy an interesting receipe to follow:

Thengai Paal Appam (Coconut Milk Appam)

Things Needed:

2 cups rice(any type of rice)
Aval(Flattened Rice): 1 handful
Sago: 1 Handful
Appam pan(Appam chatty)

Sugar Coating:

1)Brown Sugar
2)Coconut Milk(Thengai Paal)

How to prepare:

1)Soak rice, flattened rice and sago for 9-10 hours.



2)Blend all three items with coconut milk and add in one pinch of salt.



3)Refrigerate the batter one whole night.
4)The next day, the batter will rise and perfect for the appam



5)Stir the batter.
6)Get the appam pan ready, heat it



7)Pour one scoop full on the appam pan.

8)Tilt the pan with batter- till you get one full round.

9)Then leave it closed.



10)Walah...Appam ready



Sugar coating:

1)Mix brown sugar with hot water(you can ignore this step if you don't want to add sugar)



2)Mix it with coconut milk



Finally: Pour the coconut,milk sugar coating on the Appam and Done ;)
