Chicken Tikka Masala Briyani

Briyani originated in Persia, from the word "Birian". But somehow it was brought to India by influence, and now is a popular dish amongst everyone. Here are simple ways on how to make Chicken Tikka Masala Briyani. Here are the ingredients and ways to make it:

Ingredients:

1)3/4kg chicken(can use boneless chicken too)
2)1/2kg basmati rice washed and soaked
3)6 to 7 onions sliced
4)3 tomatoes roughly chopped
5)2 pods garlic
6)2 inch ginger pieces
7)1 big sized lemon
8)4 green chillies
9)chopped coriander and pudina leaves
10)1 and half tbsp chilli powder
11)1/2 tsp turmeric powder
12)Salt to taste



Method:

1)Marinate the chicken pieces with ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder,turmeric powder, salt and lemon juice for 2 hours.



2)Heat a tbsp of oil in a pan, add marinated chicken pieces, cook on high flame till all the water is evaporated and the chicken is completely dry and roasted(do on high heat).



3)Boil water with salt, add 2 cloves(long), 1 inch cinnamon,3 cardomons, 6 milahu, star anise and jeeragam. Once the water starts boiling and soaked rice and cook till 70 percent done. Strain it and leave it aside.
4)Heat oil, put in sliced onions then add roughly chopped tomatoes, once the tomatoes becomes soft, add the roasted chicken, chopped green chillies and coriander leaves. Sprinkle a little water and mix everything.
5)Spread the boiled rice on chicken pieces, top the rice with ghee and then, dum the briyani for 20 minutes. Finally when completed garnish with coriander and mint leaves.
6)To enhance, serve with mint chutney or raita.
