Ukrainian Artist -"Michael Rozenvain" 1963
Michael Rozenvain was born in 1963 in Kiev, Ukraine. He attended an art school in Kiev and did his studies at the Lvov Academy of Applied Art. In 1990 he immigrated to Israel and since then he is participating in many group and solo art exhibitions. His painting style is a unique one, at first look the viewer gets an impression as if the painter has worked on a tablet or parchment on which an earlier writing or painting has been erased to make the way for another. The textures and colors used in the paintings are so vibrant and speaks a sensual language. His works are filled with the Mediterranean street scenes, the piano, pale skinned nude woman.
The impression of his paintings stays in our mind for long. Have a look at some of them:
