Top 10 Places for a Perfect Getaway in February

1. Antarctica

If you are searching for some place to grovel solitude, tranquillity and unspoiled nature, this is the right place for you; the place where you could enjoy the peacefulness of the world's last great wilderness - Antarctica. There is definitely no other place that could compare to the vast white wasteland, distilled to an elemental haiku: rock, water, ice, snow. The majestic mountain ranges, the enormity of its ice shelves and the fact that the continent has never had native population, invariably strengthens the  feelings of natures grandeur and humanitys insignificance. In case you are among the well-behaved tourists, there is a huge possibility to be "rewarded" with disinterested yawns or distracted glance from seals and penguins, which are mainly focused on rearing their evading and young predators. Visit it just once and the peculiar beauty of Antarctica will haunt you until the rest of your life.

3. Egypt, Nile Cruise

Provided the fact The Nile River has been Egypt's lifeline since ancient times, rest assured there is no better way to discover the mysticism and trace the passage of Egypt's history than following the course of the Nile. Each day of the cruise offers you a new chance to fully discover the ancient wonders of Egypt, while exploring new sights and enjoying exotic views. Moreover Nile cruise is the only way to visit the marvellous tombs and temples and wider variety of antiquities, located along the banks of the River. Equally important, a Nile Cruise will allow the tourist to gain an authentic prospective of rural Egypt. There you could see people, still inhabiting their mud-brick homes and tending their large fields with massive wooden ploughs and moving produce via donkey; living the same life they did thousands of years ago.

10. Salvador, Brazil

Second only to Rio de Janeiro in the beauty of its natural settings, Salvador is an exotic tropical city that incorporates everything from rain forests to deserts. This is one of those places, where you get the electric feeling from the moment of your arrival. A vibrant modern culture, stunning swimming beaches and the largest collection of colonial architecture in Latin America are just small part of city's merits. What makes Salvador even more distinctive is the fact it was the first capital of Brazil. You shouldn't miss visiting its oldest part, called "Pelourinho", which boasts large elevator, which replaces the steep climb from the sea level port to the buildings, picturesquely located into the mountainside. The wide open squares, the narrow cobble-stoned streets and the sympathetic pastel-coloured houses make the city even more cozy and charming. The soft ocean breeze creates an incomparable atmosphere and the equatorial sunshine makes Salvador glimmer as an old Brazilian gold.
