The Tilak
The tilak is put in the place where the third eye of Lord Shiva, the destroyer, is said to be. The significance is that by putting the tilak one gains the all pervading powers to protect the inner wisdom.

The Other Side Of Red
Apart from being the most auspicious colour, red may also instigate the negative traits in a person. It brings out the suppressed anger, makes a person irritable, ignites hatred and cruelty.
