Top 10 Places to visit in Quebec Province, Canada
1. Forillon National Park
The pearl of the Quebec province is the always beautiful Forillon National Park. Located on a peninsula right into the sea it is the very place where the majestic Appalachian Mountains end. Get ready for scenery that was pulled out of your wildest dreams - from cliffs to coves, pebble beaches and stunning capes. The national park of Forillon is home to black bears, red foxes, hundreds of moose, coyotes while the branches of the trees have minks and martens scattering around. Without any doubt the best area of Forillon National Park is Gaspe. The Indian tribe that used to inhabit the area called it "the place where the Earth ends". With its sun-kissed fields in the summer and the mystic mist all over the estuary of the river, you know that you have found the absolute paradise in Quebec. About 250 square kilometres of scenic nature are waiting for you to indulge into their magnificence in Forillon National Park.

2. Ramparts of Quebec City
The Ramparts of Quebec is the historical heart of the Canadian city. The fortification and the city walls are the only still preserved in the American continents north from Mexico. The fortification is built by the English army after a glorious battle with the French in 18th century. Those walls embrace most parts of the old Quebec where you will discover the other side of Canada. Go around all four gates of the ramparts of Quebec - St. Louis, St. Jean which are the oldest, then Prescott and Kent. Most of them have been destroyed but are now renewed and you can still feel the greatness of Canadian past. You shouldn't miss the Citadelle, which was also component of the fortification of the city. Explore the official premises of the Canada's royalty, the ball room, the Sun room and the state rooms. Dive into the special atmosphere of a small European town while discovering the Old Quebec.

3. Mingan Archipelago National Park
With its forty islands in the Quebec province, the Mingan Archipelago National Park is another natural site worth visiting. Located on the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the archipelago takes more than 150 kilometres, where most islands are scattered just several kilometres from one another. The stunning islands of Mingan will fascinate you with their monoliths, weird cliffs, fossils and grottoes that combine in a unique way. Add various flora and fauna spices and the spectacular sea scape, and you already have another masterpiece of the Mother Nature at your disposal. The area of Mingan Archipelago was populated 2000 years ago probably because of the strategic located of the islands. Among the first inhabitants were the Montagnais Innu people, whose remains still can be seen around the national park. Let yourself be amazed by the splendid limestone sculptures, largest in Canada, carved by the wind. Taste the unspoiled nature in the Mingan Archipelago National Park.

5. Quebec Bridge, Quebec City
The Quebec Bridge crosses the Saint Lawrence River and reaches the west part of the city. The construction is almost thousand meters long and almost 30 meters wide. The bridge has three roadbeds, a railway line and a pedestrian alley. The Quebec Bridge has been completed in the early 20th century and it has become one of the city's landmarks. At the time of its building, it has been considered an achievement in the engineering world. All the stories of the collapsing of the bridge will just make your trip more exciting as the present structure is massive and strong. Until this day, it remains the longest cantilever bridge on Earth and crossing it by foot is a genuine challenge for all who enjoy adventure. The narrow path will take you from one side of Quebec to the other for several hours but once you've reached your destination, you will feel great about yourself.

7. Notre-Dame Basilica, Montreal
Yes, you have read it right. Montreal has its own Notre-Dame Basilica identical to the one in Paris, located in the heart of the Old part of the city. Constructed in a typical Gothic Revival style copying the dramatic exterior and grandiose interior of its original, with colours dominating inside it, the basilica leaves every visitor bewildered. Not that its outer appearance is any less scenic, but the decoration of the interior has been made with amazing care of the detail. You can easily spot this in the wooden carvings and painted windows which make the light pass in the most mystic way. The church was built in the first half of the 19th century due to the need for a big sanctuary for the developing city of Montreal. Today, the basilica is open for visitors, and if you want to experience it to the fullest, go there when there is choir or organ performance.

8. Chateau Frontenac, Quebec City
Chateau Frontenac is located in the centre of Quebec City and it is one of its main attractions. The castle was built in the late 19th century. With its traditional architecture of the late medieval style, Chateau Frontenac strikes you with its beauty. It elevates harmoniously over the green fields of Quebec City. The next thing to catch your eyes will be the copper green roof, the dark red walls and sharp towers that keep the spirit of past alive. The chateau is named after the count of Frontenac - Louis de Buade, the Governor General of the New France colony during the 17th century. Take a walk on the beautiful Dufferin Terrace to enjoy the incredible view towards the river and the lower parts of the Quebec. Chateau Frontenac is the historical place where the Quebec Conference in 1943 happened and strategies for the World War II have been discussed by Roosevelt and Churchill.
