Top 10 World Hiking Trails
1. Inca Trail, Peru
The most famous trail in the world is the picturesque Inca Trail in Peru. The Inca Empire was quite advanced and they built almost 40,000 kilometres of trails to be able to reach the most distant corners of their lands. So the Inca trail in its original state takes four days until it reaches Machu Picchu. This is not quite hard and too challenging trek, so it will not be a problem for anyone, who is in good health to go through it. The most important thing is to be able to bear the high altitudes, which is not easy for people with respiratory problems. The trail includes a stay in Cusco, some time to explore the ruins in Puca Pucara, Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay and Q'enko. After that tourists could spend some time in the Sacred Valley and learn a lot about the interesting legends and lifestyle of the great Inca civilization. Although most of the tourists prefer the four days track, there are many options for a longer trek in order to spend more time at the interesting sites. No matter which of them you choose, the result will be one unforgettable journey in the Inca's past!

2. Tiger Leaping Gorge, China
Another amazing trail is situated in China - this is the magnificent Tiger Leaping Gorge. Everybody who loves the beautiful nature and feels great on treks, this is one of the most preferable routes. It is about 16 kilometres long and the sight of the mighty waters of the rivers make the experience even more colourful and pleasant. The whole trek could be passed in two days, but experienced hikers advice to spare three or four in order to be able to enjoy all the beauty of this amazing journey. The best time to explore the trail is maybe May-June, because all the slopes of this magnificent gorge are covered with wild flowers and greenness that can leave the observer breathless. This is exactly the period when this path could be seen in its complete magnificence. The hiking trail is very well maintained and marked, but it is always better to have a professional guide, if not experienced enough. One thing is sure, if you pass that trail, you will fall in love with the beauty China Nature and keep on returning there!

3. Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
Great men like Ptolemy and Hemingway were attracted by the beauty of the highest African mount and wrote moving words about this creation of nature, which still stands there, ready to meet everyone, who feels attracted to climb it. The tourist treks are officially six and it depends on the personal choice which one you would take. The trails are Rongai, Lemosho, Shira, Umbwe, Marangu and Machame. According to the experienced guides the most picturesque route is Machame and it takes six to seven days to pass it. The easiest to pass trek is considered to be Rongai, but it is not the very scenic. No matter which route tourists will choose, they will have an exciting experience. What should be cared of before starting the route are the good equipment and also the personal physical condition, because it is not an easy thing to reach Kilimanjaro. One thing is sure - the sights you will enjoy while following the trail will be never forgotten and you will be sure that it was worth the efforts!

4. Tongariro Northern Circuit, New Zealand
A great opportunity for walkers is the Tongariro Northern Circuit in New Zealand and this route is considered to be the most famous and attractive in the whole country. The possibility to see the three volcanoes and pass all the volcanic formations around them, to have a look and even step on the craters makes it quite challenging for all adventurers with brave hearts, but tourists should have in mind that this is not one of the easiest treks in the world! Hikers should be experienced or take a good guide; they must also be very well equipped and prepared to the changing weather that could surprise them unexpectedly! It is good to know that there are four huts on the trail and people could count on them if the mist and bad weather come all of a sudden or they feel they need to get some rest and start again full of energy!

5. Annapurna Circuit, Nepal
Annapurna Circuit trek in Nepal is also one of the greatest ways to spend an amazing vacation, having some pleasant experiences in the beautiful nature of Nepal. You will also have good daily exercise, because there is about 6 hours of walking every day and you will return home refreshed and full of positive energy and excellent impressions. If you choose this trail you will see the Marshyangdi valley, will go to Manaslu and Hiunchuli, have the amazing opportunity to visit Buddhist monastery from ancient times, go through picturesque villages and the town of Muktinath. The most exciting of all are maybe the world's deepest gorge - Dhaulagiri Ice flow and the hot spring in Tatopani and every day you will meet the sun with a smile because of the magical beauty of the mountain that will revel before your eyes. This is not one of the most difficult routes and almost everyone, who is relatively fit, is able to pass it, but specialists advice all volunteers to have some physical preparation before going!

6. Mount Fitz Roy, South America
The highest mount in Los Glaciares National park is Mount Fitz Roy with its 3405 meters above the sea level. It is located in Patagonia, on the border between Chile and Argentina. This mount is one of the most difficult for mountaineers to climb, because demands a great physical and technical preparation. There are two types of climbers going there - those who are experienced mountaineers and who are attracted by the challenge of Fitz Roy mount - they are advised to be extremely careful even on sunny days, because mists appear like from nowhere. The others, who are not that experienced, could enjoy the magnificent treks around, which are not that dangerous as climbing the mount, but still reveal a breath-taking sight from their height - the nature-lovers will be more than pleased by the gorgeous route! There could be found fields covered with wild flowers, whose scent might make you feel like in heaven, and also crystal clear lakes make the walk seem like a dream!

10. Zion Narrows, Utah, USA
The final stop in our list for most attractive trails in the world is in USA again, but this time in Utah. Zion Narrows is a trek in Zion National Park and it attracts people from all around the world with its uniqueness. The Narrows are among the most beautiful formations along with the Zion Canyon itself. People, who decide to pass this trail, should be prepared to walk through water and surrounded by cliffs from both sides on the path with altitude of about 1500 feet. It is interesting to note that more than half of the route, you will be passing through water, which is rather cold. For that reason you should be prepared with the proper equipment and at the same time it will be better to choose the hot summer months, when your walk will be more pleasant because of the water you are stepping in. Taking this trail will be a really memorable experience!
