3. Valletta, Malta

On the Northeast coast of Malta is Valletta, another beautiful addition to the beauty of Malta. It is actually the capital city of Malta and it is a fortified city, one of the best fortifications in the world. The reason the city was built as fortification is that it was built right after the Turk Siege on Malta in 1565. Since then the city has been impenetrable by primitive attacks. Like any other capital city it is modern in design but it still retains its ancient history, which can be seen around the city. Known to sailors throughout the world as "The Gut” is Vallettas famous "Strait Street”, ancient sailors used to fill the street as they made their stay in the city. The most popular places to dine in the ancient city is the open air cafes overlooking the citys harbor. They are the best places to enjoy a great meal or coffee, while having a front row seat to the magnificent blue waters of the harbor.

9. Bridgetown, Barbados

When visiting the Barbados it is likely you will stop in on its Capital city known as Bridgetown, which is known as the heart of the Barbados is one of the busiest cities in the tropical paradise. Of course, the Barbados are always relaxed in feeling no matter where you go, so Bridgetown is nothing like a busy city in the United States but in comparison to other cities in the Barbados its quite fast paced. The architectural layout of the city is a wonderful blend of colonial style homes, modern office buildings and cold warehouse areas. The history of the city can keep visitors occupied for hours on end; some of the oldest sites are the synagogue and the St. Michaels Cathedral, both of which are just a 5 minute walk from the Parliament and were both erected in the 17th century. There is much more to the small capital city and a ton of sites that wait to pick the curiosity of visitors all year long.
