10. St. Martin, St. Maarten

Just east of the country Puerto Rico in the Caribbean is Saint Martin Island, where you can enjoy the easy leisure of a wonderful summer vacation destination. The island is actually owned by two different countries, France and the Netherlands, making it the smallest island to be dived between two different countries. The population is about even on both the Dutch and French side, with a total of about 72,000 total residents on the whole of the island. Something fun to do while on the island is listen in on the local folklore, some of the most interesting stories come from the tales of the division of the island. The island has many unique features to enjoy while hiking one of the most intriguing may be that the island has no rivers on the land on either side, but instead there are many dried out guts. San martin is great for spreading out on the beach or spending a day hiking the land. With all the wonderful destinations in the world, it is hard to choose where to go for the summer, winter and even spring or autumn. These ten places are great year round and are even that much better at the start of the travel season in May. The places here are good for anyone to visit no matter what they are looking to do during their trip. If you want to spend time on a quiet beach or a town with a deep history or even a small party island your place is in this top 10 list. Where will you spend your May vacation?
