2. People's Square
The People's Square is located in the Huangpu District and is a famous view point of the modern Shanghai. Surrounded by various skyscrapers, which rise majestically over colourful parks and recreation sites, you can enjoy a very special experience during a trip to the People's Square. 4. Jade Buddha Temple
During a trip in central Shanghai, a very attractive stop is the Jade Buddha Temple. This is a huge Buddhist temple, where you can find numerous relics and statues, associated with the Buddhist traditions. Among the Grand Hall and the other chambers you can come across a plenty of Buddhist statues - from large marble Buddha statues, to smaller sculptures. 5. Oriental Pearl Tower
The Oriental Pearl Tower is situated on a close proximity to the skyscraper of the Shanghai World Financial Center, in the Pudong District. The tower is a communication tower, which also has a symbolic interpretation. Through its numerous spheres, which symbolize pearls, the exterior of the tower is remarkable. The antenna spire rises at 1,535 ft. and is supported by three huge columns. Moreover, there are two bigger spheres along the body of the tower, where are situated numerous observation decks, restaurants and other facilities. 6. The Bund
Along the western shore of the Huangpu River, in the opposite side of the Pudong District, you can come across a very scenic and captivating cityscape, which consists of numerous buildings, picturesque streets and coastal walkways. The Bund is a place, where history meets future, because on the one side of the river are situated numerous historic buildings with normal height, while the other shore of the river is dotted by the super-tall skyscrapers of modern Shanghai. Overall, the Bund offers a very tempting sensation, especially during the night, when the colours of the night life are melting in their reflections of the surface of the river. Yes, the circulation in the area is heavy, but definitely provides an unforgettable experience.

7. Jin Mao Tower
Right next to the skyscraper of the Shanghai World Financial Center is located another huge skyscraper - the Jin Mao Tower. This is a very impressive sight to witness, thanks to the incredible architectural design of the skyscraper. The exterior contains a complex network of glass, metal details, granite and other materials, to create a very delightful and inspiring feeling for the eyes. There are also many pagoda-like sections and layers, whose number rises with height. Meanwhile, the Jin Mao Tower is 1,380 ft. tall and is fulfilled with offices, as well as the famous Shanghai Grand Hyatt Hotel. 8. Shanghai Museum
During a trip among the People's Square, make sure to visit the Shanghai Museum. This is another popular tourist attraction, thanks to its numerous art exhibitions and collections. Among the museum are situated eleven galleries with Chinese ceramics, bronze sculptures, paintings and many other ancient art objects. 9. Lupu Bridge
The Lupu Bridge is another attraction not to miss in central Shanghai. This is maybe the most beautiful and picturesque bridge that crosses over the Huangpu River, but it is definitely the second longest arch bridge in the world. With a length of 12,795 ft., the Lupu Bridge is a very impressive sight to witness, especially when the sun goes down and the colours of the night are mixed in the lights of the cityscape. The bridge is also one of the most distinctive attractions in Shanghai, because of its huge white arch, which rises at 328 ft. above sea level and carries a 6-road highway. Moreover, atop the bridge is situated an observation deck, from where you can enjoy a very scenic panoramic view of the Luwan and the Pudong districts, as well as the picturesque Huangpu River with numerous ships that pass through it.
