2. The Main Tower
As a modern city, in Frankfurt you also can come across a variety of huge skyscrapers right in Downtown. Among them is the Main Tower, which is one of the highest skyscrapers in Frankfurt, but it is the only one, which offers a view from an observation deck at an elevation of nearly 650 ft. above ground. 3. St Paul's Church
Only a short walk distance from the Romerberg Square, you will be captivated by another important historical sight to include in your trip - the St Paul's Church. 4. Eiserner Steg (Iron Bridge)
After an hour or more into the historical legacy of Germany, a good idea is to spend the afternoon in strolling along the River Main. Then, make sure to cross over the awesome Eiserner Steg (Iron Bridge), which provides some awesome views of the river and its surrounding buildings. Moreover, this is a calm, consoling and scenic footbridge, which connects the northern and the southern banks of the river, and is situated right below the Romerberg Square. The name of the bridge comes after its iron construction, but it is also a place, where you can express your love through padlocks. 5. Hauptwache
The Hauptwache building is located right in the city center and is another impressive historical sight, that you can`t miss. This is a whole square, which is a major transportation hub in central Frankfurt and the nearby areas include a wide array of modern buildings and tall skyscrapers. Nevertheless, the building of Hauptwache will keep your eyes through its captivating Baroque architectural design, which features only two floors with a huge rooftop. 6. Sachenhausen
On the opposite (southern) side of the River Main is located the Sachsenhausen - one of the most famous districts in Frankfurt. This is a large area, where you can come across numerous impressive buildings, such as the church Dreikoenigskirche. Its impressive Gothic style is an inspiring addition to the whole green landscape and the consoling views from the river. Plus, within the district you can find plenty of bars, restaurants and other eateries, while the local cider houses and apple wineries are a really historical and refreshing accent to the cosmopolitan life in Sachsenhausen.

7. European Central Bank
Right in Downtown Frankfurt and only a few streets distance from the shore of the River Main stands the huge skyscraper of one of the most significant banks in the world - the European Central Bank. Just in front the bank is situated a picturesque park, from where you can take some beautiful pictures of the solid building and the green landscaping. A giant Euro currency sign is located there, which will captivate you to take a few pictures as well. 8. The Palm Garden

10. Eschenheimer Turm
