Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavanigalum Movie Preview

Cast:    Arulnithi, Bindu Madhavi, Ashrita Shetty
Direction:    Chimbu Deven
Production:    M. K. Tamilarasu
Music:    Natarajan Sankaran

Yet again Chimbudevan has come up with a zesty title for his upcoming flick “OKMK”. The director has come a long way from his debut movie with Vadivelu and this is his fourth film. Known for innovative thinking, this movie is touted to be a contemporary romantic comedy with a lot of scope for lateral assumption.

The film has youngster Arulnidhi playing the lead along with BindhuMadhavi, Ashrita Shetty and Bagavathiperumal in the main cast. Arulnidhi after tasting moderate success with his previous flick Thagararu will be counting big on this movie. His strength as an actor has come a long way since the early days of Vamsam and is joining the next league of potentially upcoming actress.

Apart from Arulnidhi, the cast has the cute and cuddly actress BinduMadhavi in the main cast. Bagavathiperumal from NKPK is also playing an important role, not to single out Ashrita Shetty who was seen in Udhayam NH4. The list doesn’t stop here, for the ensemble list of cast just keeps coming with the likes of Manobala, Nasser and so on.

Now Chimbudevan’s movies are filled with variety and he is the best when it comes to fantasy making, breaking free from the concept this movie apart from the usual romance will also see some high octane chases and thrills. A meek kidnapping assignment takes the trio of Arulnidhi, Bindu and Bagavathiperumal in an unexpected journey that involves a lot of quirky turnaround of events. Now why they kidnap, is to wait and find out.

The director claims that the movie will revolve around the present day youth and how the phrase “time is of essence” sneaks in through the plot. Movies with messages is the trend these days, and this movie’s take back will be about giving up something to gain another.

Music is by debutant NatarajSankaran, cinematography taken care by Kathir. The film is releasing this week and is being put up against Siva Karthikeyan’sMaan Karate, so it’s a waiting game indeed!

Arulnithi- All set for OKMK release today!

Arulnithi is happy the way his Chimbudevan’s  Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum has shaped out. The film is releasing today in nearly 250 screens in Tamil Nadu.

Arulnithi is one of the few young actors who have made an impression in Tamil cinema. He had the privilege of working in few good films like the critically acclaimed Mounaguru which also became a sleeper hit. Today (April 4) his fifth film, Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum directed by Chimbudevan releases.

Arul is a very private guy who doesn’t like to tom-tom about his film but with an infectious smile he admits that OKMK is a fun ride, quirky and simple- about a kidnap drama with plenty of humour. Says Arulnithi : “I realised that I need to work with people who are equally passionate about the project. Everyone connected to my film should make money at the end of the day”

About releasing the film along with Maan Karate, he says: “We sold the film to JSK Film corporation on first copy basis and it was their call to freeze a release date. If  we had left April 4 date, then the film has to be pushed to next month and I have my next film Naalu Polisum Nallairuntha Oorum coming up for release on May 28. So a one-month gap was needed”

Arulnithi is all geared up for Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum and we hope the film soars high at the box-office.

Is he anxious about Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum release?  He chuckles:  “I am tensed on the day my film releases, but like I told you this film is strong in content, no cinematic heroism or no punch lines! Chimbudevan is a director, who has a minimum guarantee at the box-office”
