40 Tamil movies enter 61st National Awards
61st National Awards will be announced by the Government of India in May of this year. As of Feb 14th the last date for submission, it looks like 40 Tamil movies have entered in various categories. There are a total of 30 categories in National Awards.
Critically acclaimed 6 Melugu Vathigal, Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer, Haridas, Maryan, Moodar Koodam, Onaayiyum Attukuttiyum, Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, Thalaimuraigal, Thanga Meenkal and Vidiyum Munn are some of the entries.
Box office winners Goli Soda, Ethir Neechal, Kutti Puli, Pandiya Nadu, Raja Rani and Soodhu Kavvum have also entered. Some of these movies have been appreciated by the critics as well.
Also movies which are yet to see a theatrical release such as Inam, Nedunchalai, and Ramanujam have entered.
Hope Tamil Cinema wins as many as awards in the National Awards and brings glory to the state.
