Athiyan (Rajinikanth) is a SP who also known as encounter specialist. His wife Thara (Manju Warrier) is running a youtube channel. Patrick (Fahadh Faasil) was a thief and now helping to Athiyan unofficially. Justice Sathyadev (Amitabh Bachchan) is against the encounters who is part of human rights commission. Based on a complaint from teacher Saranya (Dushara Vijayan), Athiyan kills one of a drug dealer in an encounter. Few months later, Saranya transferred to chennai and there she is raped & killed brutally by unknown. Police officer Harish (Kishore) is assigned for investigation and Roopa (Ritika Singh) is part of his team. What happens further, is rest of the story.
Positives: Core story line, Engaging screenplay till real reason for murder is revealed in second half, Actors performance, Screen presence of Superstar Rajinikanth & Amitabh Bachchan, Humour one liners from Fahadh Faasil, Excellent BGM, Cinematography.
Drawbacks: Towards the climax, screenplay becomes routine and more masala mixed which could have taken in better way.
Verdict: Watchable once by action investigative thriller fans.
