Three Tips For Your Kids To Eat Well Between Meals
« on: August 03, 2017, 06:54:57 AM »
Your children’s diet will influence their future health. That’s why it’s very important to know what the best foods are for them to eat between meals.

With these three tips, you’ll be clearer about what to take home whenever you visit the supermarket.

Check the nutrition facts label

The key to this tip is what the food’s label says. Keep in mind that the ingredients which are listed first are used in the greatest amounts.

Don’t just focus on calories

In reality, calories don’t give us any information about the nutritional value of a product. So, while we shouldn’t ignore them, we also shouldn’t obsess about the number. For example, 15 almonds have around 100 calories, but they also contain protein, minerals, fiber, healthy fats, and vitamins E and B.

Include super foods

Although it sounds weird, super foods are those with higher concentrations of vitamins, minerals, nutrients, and energy compared to the same amount of other foods. The most popular of these is yogurt, since it stabilizes gut flora, improves digestion and strengthens the immune system.
