Sadness is a common, yet difficult emotion to deal with. It’s one of those emotions that gets chronic and leads to destructive tendencies, especially if we don’t want to deal with it, or rather, don’t know how to resolve it.
Each one of us has specific ways to deal with this particular emotion. Some of us don’t talk about it and seek distraction elsewhere. Some of us shut down completely and isolate ourselves from our friends and family. And then there are those of us who don’t even realize that we’re feeling sad.
While every individual may have different coping mechanisms, there are still some marked similarities on how people under specific astrological signs deal with this deep emotion. Learning to recognize and understand how each zodiac sign reacts psychologically to sadness can greatly help in overcoming sadness faster.

Ayurveda dictates that astrological signs may be divided into three constitutions or doshas – Vata (air), Pitta (fire), and Kapha (earth). The astrological signs can be divided under these three doshas as follows:
Vata: Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Capricorn, and Aquarius
Pitta: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, and Scorpio
Kapha: Taurus, Cancer, and Pisces
These doshas can, to a large extent help us predict how each zodiac sign perceives and handles sadness. For instance:
A vata type faces great difficulty in concentrating and seeks to be quickly satisfied in his needs.
A kapha type is often slow in action and is calm and thoughtful by nature.
A pitta type is more or less well-balanced, tends to like a lot of activity and can have a horrible temper.
How Each Zodiac Sign Deals With Their Sadness
Now that we’ve established the role of doshas in the temperamental constitution of zodiac signs, we can proceed to address how each one copes with their sadness and how they can manage their emotions better when going through a stormy spell.
