The pain in your neck can ruin any day. No matter how hard you try to get rid of it, it’s still there. Specialists point out several reasons for this discomfort. Mostly it is due to the muscle strain caused by bad sleeping, stress, sitting work, sports injury, stress, and bad posture.

However, in some situations, it can signify serious problems, such as meningitis (when coupled with fever). You should also contact your doctor, when pain lasts more than seven days or when it is not removed by strong painkillers.

If you already have the sore neck, you can follow this advice to reduce it:

1. If the pain is too strong, take painkillers.

2. We’ve found a very useful video guide for you with useful stretching exercises that will help ease the ache in your neck.

3. Massage: you can ask someone or do it yourself. Apply slightly heated castor oil.

4. Use a cold compress to remove inflammation and warm one to improve the blood circulation. You can apply cinnamon and turmeric tea.

5. Have some rest if your pain is due to the stress.

Hope these tips will help you.

Remember! There are ways to prevent stiff neck:

1. Improve your sleeping conditions. A pillow shouldn’t be too large or too soft. Sleep on your back or your side.

2. Don’t stay in one position for too long. If you work with computers, make short breaks, have a walk around the office.

3. Warm-up and stretch before doing any sports activities.
