One of the biggest attractions of the small town, believe it or not, is the Maritime Museum, which is the largest museum of its kind in the world. The museum has a bunch of well-preserved sailboats and a good amount of preserved seaport buildings. Ever since 1988 the beautiful town has been well known due to the fact it has been used in a film as the towns pizza restaurant called the "Mystic Pizza" served as the reason for one of Hollywoods famous hits with the same name. 6. Ashland, Oregon   



Believe it or not Ashland, Oregon is home to the oldest working telephone booth in all the state, the booth, which is composed of wood and tin, is found in the downtown centre within the Hotel Columbia, one of the citys oldest hotels. The hotel was actually built in the year 1910 and has not lost its lustre, even to this day its historic rooms overflow with guests. For nearly 20 years the hotel served as the largest merchant building from Sacramento to Portland until 1928. The town was also the birthplace of the now world renowned Shakespeare Festival, the first time the event took place was during the towns Independence Day celebration in 1935.
