As it turns out, belly fat is okay if we are talking about women health. Some researchers claim that super flat stomach could be as harmful to a lady as having too much belly fat. Not every fat in your body is dangerous. Robin Bersin, MD says that there are two different types of belly fat. We can have one kind that places between the skin and the muscles, and there is another one that sits inside your stomach around your organs. And this second type of belly fat is the most harmful.
The internal fat occurs when you eat inflammatory foods, suffer from stress or do sports too little. If you have this type of belly fat, your risk of developing heart disease, diabetes or other endocrine disorders is higher.
But if you feel fat on your muscles, it isn’t detrimental. This external flat helps women to keep their hormones balanced, instead. Dr. Bersin continues that fat produces estrogen, so if a woman doesn’t have enough fat, she won’t get enough of this hormone. Well, that’s why too skinny women may suffer from menstrual disorders or are really tired all the time.
So don’t worry, your little belly is not only beautiful, but it is beneficial for your health. And wear crop tops if you want without hesitation.
