The position in which your dog sleeps could reveal a lot about their personality. These are the 6 most common sleeping positions for your pet. Find out what they mean.

Sleeping on their side:

This is a dog who is very comfortable with their environment. They’re happy to be at home with their owners. Dogs who sleep in this position tend to be happy.

Curled up position:

Your dog is protecting themselves. They tend to be friendly, easy-going and often end up in cute positions.

Superman style:

This position allows them to get moving again easily, either responding to their owner’s call or getting up themselves. Dogs who sleep like this are very energetic and happy. They’re easily motivated.

Crazy legs:

This position means your dog is very confident in the environment in which they live. By adopting this position they are sending a message of submission, vulnerability and a certain weakness. This is why you’ll never see a wolf sleeping on its back.

On their stomach:

The dog isn’t relaxed enough and its muscles are tense. They tend to be very timid, but loving dogs.

Passed out:

They tend to be very energetic dogs, who have spent a lot of energy throughout the day. This is why they need to rest as if they were passed out. These dogs feel very safe, relaxed and happy.
