I used to think that my body gets enough fluids with coffee, tea, milk, juice, and other drinks that I have throughout the day. But what about water? “Meh, too bland,” I thought. But now that I know how beneficial water is to my body, I will start drinking it more often, particularly before going to sleep.


A rough estimation is that adult human’s body is made up of 2/3 water. It means it’s important for you to stay hydrated for all the systems of your organism to function properly. Because it rests, your body doesn’t need too much water when you sleep; one glass before you go to bed is enough.



It’s considered that cold water helps burn calories. That’s because when you drink it, your organism needs to warm up. For this process it starts burning calories; your metabolism speeds up.





Drinking water before bed helps maintain physiological homeostasis. Drink a glass of water before going to sleep to restore the fluid balance in your body. You will feel fully rested and refreshed in the morning.


Water helps remove toxins from your body. Some water before bedtime will facilitate the cleansing process in your organism.
