« on: July 04, 2017, 06:59:20 AM »

Nowadays, a lot of people want to look younger, but with each Botox injection costing $350-$500, according to DocShop, anyone who really wants to achieve this goal can end up shelling out a small fortune.

Although, there is an alternative to Botox: facelift. The website Facial Rejuvenation suggests that each facelift surgical procedure can cost between $6,000 to $15,000. The operation, in turn, entails risks. And most people cannot afford them.

Some cheaper options are the creams and makeup products. Still, there are people who prefer 100% natural methods to fight skin aging process — it is here where essential oils come in. Below, we have compiled a list of the 10 most effective anti-age oils for you!

1. Jojoba oil

According to Dr. Axe, a doctor with certification in natural medicine, as the body ages, the sebaceous glands, which produce the natural oils and moisturize the skin, decrease its production. Jojoba oil replenishes these oils rehydrating dry skin without making your skin greasy. It also aids in the removal of fine lines and slows down the aging process.

2. Frankincense oil

For those who suffer from sun or age spots, Dr. Axe says that the frankincense oil is the best to smooth the skin tone. This oil helps to reduce pitting, deep wrinkles and scars. It is also said to aid to make the skin firmer — so it is good to use on flaccid spots, under the eyes or on the chin. The oil helps to improve elasticity of the skin as well.

3. Lavender oil

Lavender oil is good for reducing aging spots, and Dr. Axe recommends mixing it with frankincense oil and to apply on the skin after a shower, before bed and in the morning.

4. Apricot kernel oil

Dr. Sayed Atalla, a professor of biopharmaceutical technology industries, points out that apricot kernel oil is rich in vitamins A and E, which really helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. When trying to have a younger skin, hydration is key, and apricot kernel oil also has excellent moisturizing properties.

5. Sweet almond oil

As we age, our skin loses elasticity. To regain it, sweet almond oil — high in vitamins E and K — should be used. Another benefit of this oil that Atalla highlights is the fact that it is odorless, so those who have problems with smell can use it with no problem.

6. Coconut oil

Also high in vitamin E, coconut oil can be useful for reducing stretch marks and preventing cellulite. Medical News Today reports that hormonal changes in women can contribute to the formation of cellulite, and Atalla says that coconut oil strengthens the skin and prevents this skin condition.

7. Pomegranate oil

It is said that pomegranate is a superfood and both Dr. Axe and Dr. Atalla agree this fruit oil is excellent to help heal sun-damaged skin. Pomegranate oil is also known to increase skin elasticity and delay aging effects.

8. Cypress oil

As they get older, many women become worried about varicose veins. To reduce the appearance of varicose veins, cypress oil may help. Atalla reports that cypress oil also reduces the appearance of broken capillaries under the skin.

9. Geranium oil

Atalla states that geranium oil is effective in reducing aging spots and scars. As you get older, your skin tone becomes uneven, and when you apply geranium you can invert this process.

10. Argan oil

According to Atalla, argan oil is very good to improve skin elasticity, remove fine lines and wrinkles, and moisturize the skin as it is comprised of mostly fatty acids.

Dr. Axe shares a recipe that mixed 1/4 ounce (7 ml) of vitamin E, jojoba oil, frankincense oil, pomegranate oil and lavender oil in a bowl using a dropper. He recommends applying four to six drops on the face at night and massaging the skin. Other recipes suggest mixing other oils applying them in the same way. With the option of essential oils to reduce aging, Botox may become a thing of the past.
