Kai Murukku



Ingredients

Patchana rice: 1/4 kg
Roasted urdu powder: 2 Tbs
Salt: 1/2tsp
Butter 50gm
Asofitida

Method:

Soak the rice for 45 minutes and drain the water and keep for 5 minutes.
Grind in mixie and sieve the powder.
Beat the butter and mix with rice flour, urdu powder and asofitida and salt dissolved in the water to a fine dough.
Divide into 24 balls and by hand make murukku on the cloth.
Pour oil on the kadai and keep on the medium flame.
Pour 6 pieces on the oil and fry till it becomes light brown.
