Owen Meredith Quotes

An English statesman and poet.
Edward Robert Lytton Bulwer-Lytton, 1st Earl of Lytton, GCB, GCSI, GCIE, PC (8 November 1831 – 24 November 1891) was an English statesman and poet. He served as Viceroy of India between 1876 and 1880, including during the Great Famine of 1876–78. His implementation of Britain's trading policy has been partly blamed for the severity of the famine, which killed up to 10 million people. However, while mistakes were undoubtedly made, one only has to read his many letters to realise that in his own mind he would have been acting for the best. Always sensitive to others' situations, Robert Lytton made - and kept - friends with as much facility as he wrote verse (he was a successful poet under the pen name of Owen Meredith).

Here are some famous quotes by   Owen Meredith.

Who knows nothing base Fears nothing known.

The man who seeks one thing in life and but one May hope to achieve it before life be done. But he who seeks all things wherever he goes Only reaps from the hopes which around him he sows A harvest of barren regrets.
