Paintings by Sue Halstenberg

Sue Halstenberg is an artist from Ojai, California. She has lived mostly in Southern California. She paints Spiritual Goddess, Budhha art, Pastel ladies and Mermaid paintings. She studied art history at UC San Diego before getting graduated in fine arts from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. She worked as a commercial artists too but later she decided to leave commercial art world to make paintings having deeper and lasting appeal. She portrays a dramatic light and shadow effects in her paintings to express the inner emotions of the woman she has painted.

She is an award winning artist from California and her art work named 'Victorian Lady' was featured on the cover of American Artist Magazine. Currently, she teaches traditional art and painting in her studio in Ojai, California. I have assembled some of her paintings of Victorian Ladies (Pastel works) here, hope you like them:
