-- Seppankizhangu (Cololasia) Roast --


Ingredients :

Seppankizhangu – 8 to 10 Nos
Sambar Power – 2 teaspoon
Turmeric(manjal) Powder – a pinch
Oil – 4 tablespoon
Mustard – ½ teaspoon
Urad dhal(ulutham parupu) - 1 teaspoon
Salt – 1 teaspoon or as per taste
Curry leaves(karvepilai) - few


Method:

# Boil the cololasia(Seppankizhangu) in a pressure cooker for 3 to 4 whistles. Cool it and peel(remove skin) them. Cut into half lenthwise(virtually).

# Heat the oil in a frying pan, add mustard seeds(kadugu). When it pops up, add urad dhal(ulutham parupu) and curry leaves(karvepilai) and fry till the dhal turns light brown.

# Then add the cooked cololasia+salt+sambar powder+turmeric powder and mix well.

# Turn gently now and then and roast till it become light brown.

# Add curry leaves and mix well.


Note: You can also add one onion chopped finely while frying...  :D ;)
