Raghu Thatha (2024) Movie Review:

Set in the late 1960s, Kayalvizhi (Keerthy Suresh) is a bank employee in small village and also writes social awareness related stories. She and her grandfather Raghothaman (MS Bhaskar) are strongly opposing the hindi imposition & closing the hindi organization ekta sabha in their village. When Raghothaman is diagnosed with cancer, family of Kayalvizhi force her marriage as a last wish of her grandfather. So Kayal decides to marry Tamilselvan (Ravindra Vijay) who has the ideology similar to her. What surprises & challenges are waiting further for Kayal, are rest of the story.

Positives: Family story mixed with social message, Actors performance, Screen presence of Keerthy Suresh, Few good comedy one liners, BGM, Cinematography.

Drawbacks: Later part of second half is dragging, Songs.

Verdict: Watchable once with little patience.
