Tips For Doing Salon-Quality Pedicure At Home

Due to the constant rat race, we don’t always take proper care of our appearance. Fast food negatively affects our skin, constant using of a hairdryer damages our hair, we get burrs because of wearing tight shoes, etc. Human feet are exposed to various adverse effects more than any other part of the body. You need to constanly take care of your feet if you want them to be in a good shape. If you have no time to visit a salon, follow the the following tips to get a salon-quality result!

1. Take care of the skin of your feet

You can use various creams to maintain the smoothness of your feet. Apply a cream to your clean feet, except for the area between your toes. Repeat this procedure every day before bedtime. Due to the sauna effect, the cream will better affect your skin if you wear socks after applying it.

2. Cut your nails neatly

When cutting your toe nails, you don’t need to round the corners. Make sure you don’t cut your nails under the root so they don’t grow into your flesh. Don’t forget that a cuticle performs a protective function. Insteading cutting it, you should use a special stick from the orange tree to shift it a little.

3. Get rid of ingrown toe nails

If you have an ingrown toe nail, you can still solve this problem by yourself. Place your feet in a tub of hot water and a tablespoon of baking soda. Then you will need a dental thread to touch your ingrown toe nail. Treat it with antiseptic and seal with an adhesive tape. Repeat the procedure every day.

4. Use a pumice stone correctly

The most common mistake is to rub the wet heels. You should place your feet in a tub with hot water, then dry them and rub with a pumice stone. If your feet are dry, it is easier to see the areas that need treating.

5. Make baths for your feet

You need to steam your feet in the bath once a week for 15 minutes. You can use warm water but you’d better add some baking soda, herbs and essential oils to the water. Make sure you add 5 drops of essential oils to 8 liters of water. If you are worried about excessive sweating of your feet, you can make a bath with cornstarch.

6. Strengthen the nail plate

You can either use essential oils to make baths for your feet or you can apply a few drops onto your nail plates to make them stronger. Almond and peach oils will work best!

7. Massage your feet

Massage positively affects your feet. It boosts your immune system, improves blood circulation and helps maintain youthfulness. This is due to the fact that internal organs and feet are interconnected.

You can use a tennis ball to massage your feet. Place the ball under your foot and roll it from the heel to the fingers and back. You can do this even when you are sitting at your computer.

8. Wear comfortable shoes

In addition to being comfortable, your shoes should be made of natural materials.
