We’ve all heard the saying, “you are what you eat.” These images will show you that the saying was right all along.
1. Carrot: Eyes
If you slice a carrot in half, you can see an eye in it, even the tiny details. And yes, carrots are one of the most beneficial vegetables for our eyesight.
2. Walnuts: Brain
The folds and wrinkles in a walnut remind us of an organ in the body: The brain. Also, walnuts are categorized as a “brain food”, since their omega-3 is beneficial to this organ in particular.
3. Celery: Bones
Bones contain 23% sodium, and eating celery will help to strengthen them.
4. Avocado: Uterus
If we split an avocado in half, the part without the stone looks similar to the uterus. Avocados benefit the uterus because of their high folic acid content.
5. Scallops: Testicles
Studies have shown that scallops (which resemble testicles) are very beneficial for the male reproductive system.
6. Grapefruits : Breasts
It’s more than just a coincidence that they look alike. Grapefruits contain limonoids which help prevent breast cancer.
7. Tomato: Heart
Seeing the cross-section of a tomato resembles the heart. Studies have shown that people who eat more tomato are less likely to suffer heart problems.
8. Ginger: Stomach
Ginger has strong anti-nausea and anti-vomiting properties.
9. Sweet potato: Pancreas
Sweet potato helps the pancreas due to its high concentration of beta-carotene, a powerful antioxidant.
