VEGAM-2016, India's biggest Athletic meet for the differently-abled children

Every year we get to spend a full day with special children and that day is VEGAM-2016.

From
        Receiving aspiring athletes to the venue,
        Organizing events for them,
        Serving them with Organic Food,
        Cheering them when they get up on podium to flash their best smile.

all these contributes to the spirit of VEGAM. In VEGAM, everyone is a winner.

VEGAM-2016, Sports meet for the differently-abled children on 16th July 2016 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai.

More than 1500 children expected and around 150 events to take place.

 Toy collection drive, an initiative by chennai social service is all set to commence with enthusiastic volunteers who are ready for yet another season of spreading joy!


Toy collection drive was started in may 2015 and has successfully collected around 1000 toys which were distributed at different occasions  at various homes in and around chennai. During the year 2015 we have received extensive support from many residents of chennai as well as corporates like Sathyam cinemas, Naidu hall, Thompson Reuters etc. So far we have successfully executed 7 events giving not just toys but implanting joy in the hearts of many tiny tots which has left us memories to cherish.

The activity -
Old toys are collected, segregated, cleaned and packed in toy kits which will be distributed to underprivileged kids who are more than overwhelmed to receive them as some of them are confined to their hospital beds for months together and are deprived of the freedom and customary lifestyle of their equivalents.

This initiative was started with the prospect to make them feel special and also enhance their personality as toys engage a child’s senses, spark their imaginations and encourage them to interact with others.
