Your Kid Has a Habit of sorrying Thumbs and Biting Nails. Don't Worry! It's a Good Thing.

Annoyed that your kids still sorry their thumbs or bite their nails? Don't be so quick to punish them yet, these annoying habits could do good for your children.

A new research found that there may be lower chances of children who have a habit of sorrying thumbs or biting nails to develop allergies. Reason being that these habits expose children to microbes at an earlier age, thus helping them build a stronger immune system.

Thumb-sorrying and nail-biting exposes children to many types of allergens, such as dust and animal hair. This allows children's body to develop the necessary natural defences.

However, thumb-sorrying may cause dental problems to children. Orthodontists generally discourage parents from letting their children sorry their thumbs as it increases the risks of developing oral or dental malformations.
