Know The Road Lines

Most of us ignore the traffic rules and road safety. All that sits in our mind is not beating that red, yellow and green light. Here’s one thing you should take note off to drive safe and smooth.

While driving you would have noticed the white and yellow lines on the road. Sometimes you see solid lines and sometimes you see broken lines according to International Road line rules:
 
1)Solid white lines: Which means you cannot change lanes and should stay on the lane you are already on.



2)Broken white lines: You can change lane but remember with caution and give signal when it is safe to do so.



3)Solid yellow lines: Overtaking is technically allowed with extra caution over one solid yellow line. But when you see them on shoulders of the road that means “No Parking”.



4)Double solid yellow lines: No overtaking is allowed.



5)Broken yellow lines: You can intend to overtake but it should be with caution.

6)Solid yellow line with broken yellow line: Which means the side where there's broken yellow line you can overtake and the other side with the solid yellow line you cannot overtake.
