This Is How You Charge Your Smartphone

Follow these simple tips if you want to prolong your phone’s battery health!

# 1 Don’t leave your phone plugged in after it’s fully charged.

A company called Battery University explained that by unplugging phone after the battery is fully charged is similar to “relaxing the muscles after strenuous exercise.” This means that your battery doesn’t have to overwork after you remove the plug.

#2 Try to avoid charging your phone 100%. Instead charge it whenever you can.

You don’t have to keep charging it until the battery reaches 100%. Battery University mentioned that “Li-ion does not need to be fully charged, nor is it desirable to do so. In fact, it is better not to fully charge, because a high voltage stresses the battery.” So it’s fine to charge your phone for multiple times.

#3 Keep your phone cool.

Sounds weird and not literally like the image above. However, keeping it cool by shading your phone from the sun or remove its casing while charging it helps to protect your battery’s health since it is so sensitive to heat.
