Why Pierce Baby Ears?

After a baby is born, it is a general practice to pierce the baby ears (both boys and girls).



Actually, it is a part of acupuncture treatment. Surprise?

Outer part of ears carry a lot of important acupuncture and acupressure points. The point where the baby ears are pierced is known for curing asthma.

That is why indians, both men and women used to wear ear-rings.
