Henri Poincare Quotes

A French mathematician, theoretical physicist, engineer, and a philosopher of science.
Jules Henri Poincare was a French mathematician, theoretical physicist, engineer, and a philosopher of science. He is often described as a polymath, and in mathematics as The Last Universalist, since he excelled in all fields of the discipline as it existed during his lifetime.

Here are some famous quotes by Henri Poincare.

Science is built of facts the way a house is built of bricks; but an accumulation of facts is no more science than a pile of bricks is a house.

Science is facts; just as houses are made of stones so is science made of facts; but a pile of stones is not a house and a collection of facts is not necessarily science.
