Chai – something many of us have everyday morning . This recipe is the powder to spice up the chai – there are so many versions of the powder – you too can adapt the recipe/proportions to your taste.

Ingredients:
Cloves (laung): 15-20
Black pepper (kali mirch): 4-5
Green cardamoms (elaichi): about 6
Dried tulsi leaves: about a teaspoon

Grind ingredients to a fine powder in a coffee/spice grinder or the chutney jar of a mixer. Transfer contents to a dry container with air-tight lid.

You can use a pinch of powder for 2 cups of chai.
