When you nail fungus is painful, it is time to get medical assistance and proper treatment. Nail fungus is tricky thing, so remember even if you got rid of this condition, it often comes back.

Several factors increase the risk of nail fungus. They include:

>> sweating heavily;
>> walking barefoot in unclean communal areas such as gyms and swimming pools;
>> skin conditions, nail and skin injuries
>> diabetes;
>> a weakened immune system.

To prevent nail fungus:

>> wash your hands and feet carefully and regularly, don’t forget to moisturize your nails after washing;

>> trim your nail properly, disinfect your nail clippers;

>> try sweat-absorbing socks;

>> choose comfortable footwear.
