1.You experience a mild pain in your chest and are short of breath

Everybody knows that a severe pain in the chest is an indicator of a heart attack. But be careful, it isn’t the only sign. Symptoms can be not clear in women. That’s why, young ladies tend to mistake the pain of a heart attack for digestive problems. Be aware of unusual pressure in your chest, as well as other symptoms, including nausea, dizziness, cold sweats and shortness of breath. Anytime you think you have a heart attack, don’t hesitate and call 911.

2.You suffer from severe abdominal pain

It can be appendicitis or even an ovarian cyst. Well, pain in your belly can be caused by various things ranging from a bad dinner to some chronic conditions. But at the same time, think about a true emergency. Appendicitis doesn’t always begin with the pain in your lower abdomen. Sometimes it occurs around the belly button and you can feel discomfort while moving. An ovarian cyst can be accompanied by similar sensations. Rush to the hospital if your belly pain is sudden or it is getting worse, if it moves to the lower right quadrant of your stomach. If you have a fever or begin vomiting, it is also a time to head to ER.

3.You were blown to the head

Head injuries are very serious, so whether you fell or got in a car accident, visit the nearest hospital, because you might have a concussion. Doctors need to make sure that there is no brain bleeding. Rush to the ER, if you were knocked out. Other symptoms of a serious head injury are a headache, neck pain, leaking blood from your nose, dizziness and sleepiness.

4.You have got a cut and the bleeding doesn’t stop

Well, cuts are very common, but remember that even a small cut can result in a lot of blood. Some cuts especially deep ones can cause a heavy bleeding and nerve damage. Doctors in the ER can clean out the wound to avoid infections and may be you need stitches. Rush to the ER if the bleeding doesn’t stop or your cut is so deep that you can see your bones or muscles.

5.You experience the worst headache ever

It can be a ruptured aneurysm or stroke. People who suffered from a ruptured brain aneurysm often describe their sensations as the worst headache of their lifetime. The pain always starts very suddenly. You may also have problems with vision and speech. If you notice something like this, don’t hesitate to go to the ER.

If you notice any of these symptoms, don’t think twice. Better safe than sorry!
