Title: 7 Changes That Happen When You Go From A Dog Lover To Dog Parent
Post by: LoShiNi on August 11, 2017, 10:51:51 AM
Many people will say that they are dog lovers. Well, it’s easy to love dogs all because they are irresistibly amazing and lovable creatures. You can own a dog and be a dog lover. You can also go to a pet store or to a shelter and be a dog lover. Or, you can go to a friend’s house, see their dog, pat its head, hug it for some time, and voila! You’re a dog lover! Simple as that!

But all these change when you become a dog parent. Sure, all the loving, the appreciation, and the admiration are still there. These are all given. But when you become a dog parent, the love for your pooch is coupled with duties, responsibilities, sacrifices, and a lot of consideration for your dog’s welfare and well-being.

The word ‘parent’ is there to remind you that you are not just simply taking care of a pet, but you already owned that ‘pet’ as your child. And as a parent, you want nothing but the best for your kid, right? This may sound weird, but if you are already a dog parent, you’ll know what I mean.

There are seven distinct differences between a dog lover and a dog parent, and illustrator Kelly Angel made some artworks for further reference. So, which one are you?
