Did you know that mental disorders affect — at least in some stage of life — at least 20% of the world’s population? It is very important to know how to identify the symptoms of each of them and to start the appropriate treatment as soon as possible so that the person can live well while coping with the disorder.
Inspired by a series of illustrations by the artist Federico Babina, we have fifteen figures representing different mental disorders. Try to identify which problems they are referring to. Look at the drawings with an open mind. Try to spot the human figure (when there is one) and how it is situated relative to the rest of the picture. Analyze the shapes, textures, and feelings which may be associated with each case.
This exercise will help you understand how people who suffer from these disorders may feel. And who knows, perhaps being able to identify some symptoms may allow you to help someone who is in desperate need? Or maybe even help yourself
Ready for the test? Here it is. The 15 figures in the table below are associated with the following disorders: anxiety, dyslexia, bipolar disorder, depression, autism, schizophrenia, narcolepsy, paranoia, eating and behavioral disorders, gender disorders, insomnia, dissociative disorders, phobias, dementia, and obsessive compulsive disorder.

Now we will reveal each of the images with their respective titles. Do not worry if you did not get them all right. The goal is simply to help you think about the disorders and those who suffer from them.
