Japanese actor, Miki Ryosuke, complained of several back problems. To treat it, doctors recommended a series of basic breathing exercises, whose purpose was to strengthen the lumbar and abdominal regions to reduce the pain. What nobody expected was that the exercise would have a secondary effect. He lost considerable weight.

How to perform the exercise?

The first pose involves placing one foot in front of the other, then letting the majority of our body weight fall onto our back foot. This position will make the front part of our body support 10% of our weight.

It’s very important that while we perform this process, we’re constantly flexing the glute muscles. While exhaling, it’s important to keep tension in the muscles to make sure the oxygen has an effect on the whole body.

The next step is flexing the glute muscles again. On this occasion, you must place one hand on the abdomen and the other behind the back. Then, inhale for 3 seconds, and again exhale for 7 seconds, just as in the previous exercise.

On this occasion, you’ll have to concentrate your strength on the stomach, which is why you must press your abdominal muscles hard while exhaling. This exercise should be performed for 2 to 5 minutes daily.

It’s important that for the exercise to have an effect, it should be repeated daily. Since it only takes up 4 to 10 minutes per day, you don’t have to worry about using up valuable energy you need for work.
