Jourdan Toh the human calculator gave the answer to 7,098x879 within a split second. He took part in this year’s edition of Abacus, Mental Arithmetic & Mathematics Competition World City Cup and competed with 700 of the best young mathematicians from eight countries.
In that competition they were given 100 math questions which they have to solve mentally with an abacus under three minutes.
Jourdan said: When he saw the questions he knew the answer but the only thing that slowed down was his movements on how fast his hand could write out the answers.
