Chokkali is one of the innumerable films that release on Friday and disappear by Saturday.

These films made on shoe-string budget with little known faces and out-of-work actors, look like television serials. They have no continuity or basic structure.

It is the old formula set against television channel milieu and a few characters who revolve around it. The odd mix contain Prem, a compulsive flirt and a television anchor, heroine Malar a village girl who is a fan of Prem and Arivu a good guy who is in love with the heroine!

Throw in Sona in a swim suit for glamour and a few comedians who stoop to any level doing crass comedy.

Obviously, the film`s selling point seems to be Sona in a swimsuit and some double-meaning dialogues and crude humour. The censors have cut liberally, and there is no connectivity between scenes.
