Since ancient times, people have enjoyed bamboo as a material not only for aesthetic reasons, but also for its outstanding function.

A strong and rich wood which can be grown quickly, today, bamboo is being employed for all types of building and product applications.
 
In observing this, designer yu jian has developed a set of ten stationary objects called 'empty bamboo'. each item takes a hollowed bamboo stem - of varying diameters--as its body. the natural material is combined with metal parts which speak to the function of each piece, resulting in a family of aesthetically beautiful and functional devices, from a pencil case to a tape dispenser, USB hub to a desk clock.

the things made by bamboo iis very brilliant idea..and its very difficult work too ma.. i love these things made up of bamboo.. it takes me to the  ancient days.. lovable things ma..

among this the clock made up of bamboo attracts me a lot.. its so cute looking..
