Ingredients:
Corn Kernels - 1/2 kg, coarsely graetd
Oil - 75 ml
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 1, finely chopped
Ginger Paste - 1 1/2 tsp
Garlic Paste - 1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Water - 2 1/2 cups
Cream - 1/2 cup, whipped
Green Coriander - 1 tblsp, chopped
Method:
1. Heat the oil.
2. Add cumin seeds and onions and saute till the onions are golden brown.
3. Add ginger and garlic pastes.
4. Cook until brown.
5. Mix the turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and coriander powder in 1/2 cup of water.
6. Add to the pan and cook for 5 minutes on a low flame.
7. When the mixture leaves the sides of the pan, add the corn and fry for 5 minutes.
8. Add 2 cups of water, cover and cook for a low flame for 11-12 minutes.
9. When the corn is tender and the liquid has almost dried, mix in the cream.
10. Garnish with green coriander and serve.
