Step 1 — Install XAMPP
Installing  XAMPP Refer this link

Step 2 — Download SMF
https://download.simplemachines.org/

Step 3 — When installing Simple Machines Forum (SMF) locally (or on a server), you must match the PHP version in your XAMPP (or other PHP environment) to what SMF requires — otherwise you will likely see installation or runtime errors.

Step 4 — Start XAMPP & Click Admin Button

Step 5 — Check XAMPP PHP Version

Step 6 — Extract SMF installer zip to XAMMP path

Step 7 — Create new user to acess db

Step 8 — Stat SMF Installer from browser

Step 9 — Take an  db backup

Step 10 — SMF Install Completed Test it from browser

Installing Responsive Themes Test / Develop
Current Theme : https://custom.simplemachines.org/index.php?theme=2228

Reasons for Migrating from Celeste Theme to wgame Theme

1. Performance and Speed Issues

Celeste theme loads heavy assets and custom scripts, causing slower page rendering.

wgame is optimized for faster loading, reducing bounce rates and improving user experience.

2. Better Mobile Responsiveness

Celeste has layout glitches on small screens and some UI elements overlap.

wgame offers a cleaner, fully responsive design with better touch-friendly navigation.

3. Easier Customization

Celeste requires a lot of manual edits for simple UI changes.

wgame offers cleaner templates and straightforward CSS structure, making customization much easier.

4. Improved User Navigation

Celeste theme has cluttered or inconsistent navigation.

wgame includes enhanced menus, better category spacing, and improved overall UX.

wgame comes optimized with better HTML structure, breadcrumb placement, and accessibility features.
